Squoosh is an image compression app from Google Labs that was designed to demonstrate how quickly high quality images can be loaded in the Chrome browser. The following video demonstrates how quickly one can resize images with the web app:
It supports the following image formats:
- Google's WebP
- MozJPEG
- OptiPNG
I believe that this open source browser app will help us upload more optimally sized images to support our Hunt posts. There is a myriad of other applications that we can use this app for.
