Ecosia Search Engine

Ok, let me settle things first.
Do you know Ecosia? Or have heard the word before?
Well if not you are the same as I am.
In searching for a good app/web service that I can submit here in Steemhunt, I made some research. As I browse, the 100 most cool unique and new mobile apps, Ecosia came to my face and it just sounds interesting. IMAGINE, upon browsing the web using this search engine you are actually planting trees and saving the world! Whoa

This is an eco-friendly search engine of which 80% of the search ad profits are donated by the company in planting trees. Since its launch last 2009, it has already planted about 29M trees. Some countries they have planted trees are Burkina Faso and the rehabilitation of the Atlantic Forest in Amazon. The numbers are still a little fraction compared to the number of trees being cut each year. However, the advocacy of this product will be highly beneficial in helping our one and only Mother Earth.

Pros:

• you can help plant trees by using this search engine
• easy to download in a laptop or even in phones
• easy to integrate in daily lives
• you can help plant trees in dying forest and poor countries without donating a single penny. Simply use the web service as your search engine
• you can help plant trees without even doing the act of planting itself. Just use the web service as your search engine

Cons

• it only uses Yahoo and Bing algorithms

Ecosia maybe just a small player now in the market with over 5.5m users, it has done an enormous deed of saving our world. It may have fewer search result compared to google but the essential facts you need can be found.
Ecosia may still have a lot to improve its services (which is its cons) but upon using it you know you making something wonderful. (saving our planet which is a major pro).
For my next search, I know I am helping mother nature breathe. I just downloaded Ecosia on my phone.
