Streetchange

Streetchange is an app that measures physical changes or appearances in a specific location using a computer algorithm. It compares Google Street View images over the years and algorithmically come up with quantifiable change measurement.

The app was developed in response to the challenge in measuring urban changes as I quote from the About page:

Physical urban change—the evolution of cities' public and private infrastructure—has been of interest to policymakers, as well as scholars in economics, sociology, and urban planning for decades. However, it has been difficult to measure urban change in ways that are quantitative, robust, and scalable.
