AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX

This is a new AMD desktop processor with 32 cores and 64 threads.

This processor has base clock 3.0 Ghz and max boost clock up to 4,2 Ghz. No specific info if max boost clock applied to all cores or just some cores. It has unlocked multiplier too, so good news for overclocker.

Threadripper 2990WX still used same socket like the predecessor(TR4), but the default TDP for this processor is 250 watt, more higher than threadripper 1950X(180 watt). So I think need a new motherboard, just to be safe even though there's a bios update to use this processor with old motherboard.

For memory, it support quad channel DDR4 with max memory speed 2933 Mhz.

This processor has 64 PCI Express Gen 3.0 lanes, so multiple gpu can run at their top performance(x16 lanes each gpu).

This processor will be available on August 13, 2018.
