Photopopper Photovore V5.0

Light-controlled DIY BEAM robot project with solar-power

CHECK IT OUT

P-PIC.jpg

Driven by two motors and a solar cell, the Photopopper Photovore V5.0 belongs to the group of BEAM (Biology, Electronics, Aesthetics & Mechanics) robots. The robot runs all by itself and always locates itself at the brightest light source, which it then moves towards. It can avoid obstacles by having its two sensors feel and recognize them. The BEAM robot is not as flexible as a microprocessor-controlled robot, but it is robust and efficient in performing the task.

The BEAM Bot is designed to be a straight-forward kit to assemble and tune but does require fundamental soldering skills and hand-tool abilities to complete successfully.
