Tooli G3

Tooli G3 will be the third generation of a robotic multi tool from Toolbotics. They funded their first generation model via Kickstarter which was a huge success. After first small changes in the second generation they will now feature nearly double different functions in their third generation model.
 

 
Tooli G3 comes with (run on both Windows and Mac):

• Tooli Control App: a control app that makes it super easy to use Tooli G3 (used for manual operations)
• Art2GCode Toolbath App: tool to convert your artwork to machine code

With the huge variety of features the third generation will offer this is going to be an awesome tool for artists and makers in general. If you think about how many machines this will replace the price is really fair. On this point I have to say there is no actual official price for the G3 yet but comparing with the prices of G1 and G2 and the given upgrades I would say they will offer the G3 in the price range between $2000 USD and $3000 USD, depending on the which size (small, medium, large) you choose.

The G3 will feature nine different tools:

• Draw: enables to draw with anything (pencil, marker, crayons, pastels,...)
• Paint: enables to paint with an actual paintbrush
• Hot Knife: hot thin metal rod that cuts through different materials (mostly used for Styrofoam)
• Knife: able to cut a variety of thin films, paper and vinyl
• Scorer: able to crease thin films, paper and card
• Rotary Tool: light drilling & engraving in soft materials
• Dispenser: dispense a variety of mediums on to any flat surface
• Pick & Place: enables to precisely place small items
• Airbrush: enables to spray ink or low viscosity paints
