PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, or ‘PUBG’ for short, was developed by Bluehole Studio. The game involves up to a 100 players on a remote island and players enter a last-man-standing battle where they have to find weapons and supplies. The battleground eventually shrinks, forcing players into smaller areas so that they are close enough to engage in a fight to death. The last-man standing wins.
This game, previously on PC and Xbox One, has now moved to the mobile world. It was launched on Android and iOS on Tuesday 20th March. It quickly took the No.1 spot for most downloaded mobile game in over 100 countries. Currently, no real money is needed to enhance your playing experience (it can only buy you premium skins). Many sources say this game should be played by those above the age of around 16 or 17 as some violence is included in this game.
The developers of PUBG hope to host competitions in the future, with millions of dollars in the prize pool.
