Tastyworks

One of the main questions beginner stocks, options, futures traders face is which online brokerage/platform to use. Among things to consider usually are a minimum required balance, commissions fees, and trading tools the brokerage/platform provides.

I recently came across Tastyworks. Having used Etrade, Thinkorswim, Robinhood, Optionshouse in the past, I find Tastyworks quite interesting and will be trying it out soon.

What I like about Tastyworks is it is smaller accounts friendly, stock options focused, offers competitive commission fees and provides options focused trading tools. To my understanding, it doesn't require a minimum balance to maintain, and options trades are settled the same day.

It has mobile apps for iOS and Android devices, desktop apps for Mac, Linux, or Windows machines, and a browser-based app.
