The "LoCo" in the name is for "Low Cost". Buying a fully assembled model is expensive but as long as you have the right laser cutter and 3D printer a DIY model can be assembled for a fraction of the cost. Once assembled and programmed the LoCoBot's mobility can be used for purposes of robotic manipulation and navigation.
