A surfboard that extends below the board into the water

Foil surfing is an exciting experience, and it may not require waves to get going. Hydrofoil surfing is somehow like controlled aquaplaning. It's all about gliding above water.
One of the first watermen to attach a foil to a surfboard was Laird Hamilton. He used it for big waves and thats how it was pretty much made.

It's fun, but you need to make sure it's really safe for yourself and everybody else around you. You'd need to find a spot where nobody else, especially if you're skill level is below average and you don't know how the board works.

Sadly, the board is very expensive for me, but I wish that one day I would get to try it out.
