DroneDeploy App

I first came across this app when I was researching for farm mapping and identifying failing crops. I am amazed at how much the app is able to program the drones to do. The service spectrum spans from construction, agriculture, roofing, inspection, and also mining.

Some cool features of this app:

1. Allow you to re-map on top of the old Google map and you get your brand new updated map
2. Able to analyze plants' health through scouting and saving farmers a lot of labor work
3. Live monitoring from an aerial view, which we may need a hovering helicopter in the past!
4. Detect construction errors and report to the builders, minimizing the loss.
5. Collaborative interface allowing different parties to work together and feed with live data
6. Relatively cheap subscription fee for the service

With this application, it could increase the productivity of work in both construction and agriculture as both usually involve large-scale site. For construction, this could lessen the burden on a site manager whereby he need not supervise the whole site by walking from point to point but using this app to supervise real time. This could even be done by multiple supervisors and linked with consultants for error rectifications. There are just so many application can be done with this app.

Now, I am keen to get hold a drone and try this out! I guess this might interest my fellow friend, @awesomianist who is in this field as well.
