Mozilla Hubs

Social VR for All

CHECK IT OUT

Mozilla Hubs, which essentially offers social VR to anyone without exception, even those who do not have a VR headset though.

This is possible because Hubs runs one hundred percent in the browser, using WebXR standards that Mozilla has developed for a long time. As a result, simply by clicking a link, anyone can join and interact in a virtual chatroom.

Hubs is still a preview status, but Mozilla invites anyone interested in trying it. Whether using high-end headsets like Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, to use cheap alternatives like Google Cardboard and computer and smartphone users. Again all it takes is a browser, no additional apps required.

The visual aspect is not the best, but it's not a big deal if it's all within reach. Simply put, you just choose:

  1. Social VR with stunning graphics but only for HTC Vive users so the number of users is fairly quiet.
  2. Social VR with regular but open graph like Mozilla Hubs this, so that wear so crowded.
