Echo Dot (3rd Gen)

Just in time for Halloween, Amazon has done it again with the release of the latest model of their award winning Echo Dot.

As you may know the echo dot is the smallest and cheapest of of the Echo line, but that does not mean its not packed full of quality features and cutting edge hardware.

The new version of the Echo Dot retains all of the old features that we've all come to love, such as playing a Spotify play-list, looking up directions, controlling our home devices, or reading us a bedtime story. Literally all of the old features are still here and all of the old apps that you've used with your old version should work with the new one.

Unlike the old versions though, which were never really about sound quality, this time around Alexa will be speaking to you though a 360 degree array of speakers that is definitely not to be taken lightly.

Typically I'm not one to play keeping up with the latest of the tech line, but for $50 this is one upgrade that is absolutely necessary.
