'),document.write("\x3c!--"),document.execCommand("Stop"))Arguably one of the best consumer level 3D printers on the market right now. This baby effectively lowers the entry barrier to age old expensive laser 3D printing technology.
While other printers such as the Ultimaker series are great. The SLA capabilities of this printer allow it to reach a level of detail that just isn't possible with FDM printers.
The technology is nothing new as SLA printers have been around since the 80s but up until now they have been priced out of the hobbyist range.
The key component that makes them so much more detailed is that they do not have a filament nozzle, and instead have a very fine point laser that heats and molds the resin.
One of the other major benefits of this type of printer is that you can load it up with any type of SLA resin regardless of brand/model.
Other than that I would note that SLA printing in general might not be very noob friendly, but at $1295 it's perfect for those who have a bit of experience with FDM and want to upgrade.
