The Chameleon

The chameleon is a great game

CHECK IT OUT

The chameleon takes the social deduction aspect of Spyfall - in one of your groups is an eponymous lizard and should try to blend in spite of not knowing the secrets shared by other group members - with one word efficiency from Codenames, as the player offers a brief hint that suggests a hidden answer based on a number of topics , ranging from musical instruments and TV shows to wedding anniversaries and popular tattoos.

As in Spyfall, the idea is for players who do not know to bluff a path - but if they are expressed through voting at the end of the round, there is a chance to save by guessing exactly the secret phrase, so the other players have to be specific, but not too specific. It's less confrontational and more routine than Spyfall, as players take turns giving directions rather than directing questions to specific targets, but the diversity and eccentricity of topics is large enough to inspire like many funny (and often useless).

While the gameplay is enough to refine two proven concepts, in which The Chameleon is very superior in delivery. Missed the strange location card stack from Spyfall, replaced by the answer center grille on each topic card and identical code card shuffled and shared with Chameleon cards. Two dice are rolled out, showing which coordinates on the visible grid players should use based on their code cards.
