Its very difficult to carry a physical biometric / demographic proof to everywhere, so that if its needed it can be used. And UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India ) has now made it possible to carry our demographic information with us and use it whenever needed.

If you know , then Aadhaar is the world's largest biometric id program. And majority of the indians rely on this to show as some sort of proof document, wherever needed.
