When you’re an academic and you were lucky enough to get a large enough grant, then you better be as awesome as the researchers at Queen’s University’s Human Media Lab.

Yes, those of the ReFlex flexible smartphone fame.

Not satisfied with the 720p ReFlex flexible phone, they had to push things a level further and develop the holographic fullHD HoloFlex phone.

Imagine you’re able to work on 3D designs on three different axis on your phone, all thanks the HoloFlex’ tech.

Most amazing of all is that this is a rather old model already and runs on Android 5.1 with only 2GB RAM.

Yet, it’s a prototype so not available yet.

But we all know that flexible phones are coming soon. Especially since Apple obtained a patent which brings them a step closer to flexible mainstream tech.
