It can be sprayed on existing walls allowing them to withstand tremors that would otherwise reduce them to rubble.
EDCC contains polymer-based fibers that give it a strong but pliable quality which makes it flex under pressure instead of crumbling like traditional concrete.
Additionally 70% of the cement in the product is replaced by Flyash, an eco-friendly industrial byproduct.
In lab tests, a 10 mm layer of EDCC was applied to concrete walls and subjected to tremors of a 9.0 - 9.1 magnitude. The walls help up well while the uncoated ones crumbled to the ground
