my machine won't run fortnite..

because it's an aging 2011 model imac (yes, i try and play on an aging machine with less than a gig of graphics memory!) it's impossible especially in these temps to do it so i've been looking around for options.

this is probably the best thing for me to do in the near future is to buy some kind of expansion box with a 1070/80ti in it and then either get myself a cheap windows laptop with decent usb3 or thunderbolt connectivity and go that route.

ideally i need another machine right now for recording my daily shows at the full potential that the camera can run at (4k) and also as a dedicated gaming unit that i can stream into my imac for streaming to @dlive with --but the external egpu (now supported under mac os 10.13.4 means that i could go this way as a half way house if i wanted too.
