so for my second application today for comms and in times of emergency i'd have to throw this one in there as well because this works WITHOUT internet connectivity and uses peer-to-peer bluetooth (line of sight/mesh style) connections to chat to each other -- could be useful if cell towers go down or power goes out

a good application to maybe suggest to people in your street or neighbourhood, maybe setup a meetup.com and invite people together to use it so they know how to use it in an emergency to keep connected and come together with the resources you have between you, you never know it might save a life.
