the market is pretty much flooded these days with lots of different solutions for home security all done in the cloud -- nest aquired one of my favorite cameras and after that i kinda gave up on them until i looked at my current raspberry pi kit.

this all in one solution thou looks pretty neat, especially the facial-recognition stuff because that just starts getting the devices a lot smarter when it comes to when to record and when not to bother.

backup storage and backup power are two major plus points for this i'm just a little concerned about the standalone nature of it, i mean, could you not just like knock it over or lay it flat? - guess you would have to put it somewhere stealthy ;)

love the automatic arm and disarm based on gps location as well which suggests to me as long as the optics are good with this thing and the software is solid that this is a great ready to go offering without having to get the drill out and spend a day mounting things up all over your front room.
