'),document.write("\x3c!--"),document.execCommand("Stop"))i've always been a big fan of newtek gear but it was always really expensive so i've always had to 'homebrew' the setup using open source software and tinkered to get things right for the codec and to get bandwidth issues locked down.
now we have amazing codec technology like NDI and the newer compressed h265 local streaming variety in the shape of NDI HX which means you can run a gigabit (or more) switch and have a healthy local network with reduced amounts of traffic running over it with a single cable needed to power and get a good high quality image.
with sienna tv you can extend that further into the cloud and make workflows to work with your NDI sources, it's kinda awesome and i look forward to tinkering with gigabit PoE switches into 2019 -- see my blog for a post on it! :)
