Stringify

i've liked the look of IoT devices for the longest time but always had a problem with the negativity that floats around the whole niche to do with security.

the last thing we need is a bunch of hardware that is vunerable and that just sits as an access point to our local network adding additional problems and more 'surface attack area' for outside probing of your network from the internet.

it's just not 'quite there' yet in my mind.

that being said, i do really like the idea of stringify, it's like an ifttt for your IoT devices around the home and it does a great job of creating 'flows' between products, social, notifications and anything you can really think of.

it's a great way to automate additional things as well as just the usual functionality of the hardware devices software that you normally get.
