The Phoenix Generator

20W All-in-one Solar Kit

CHECK IT OUT

this is a good backup to have.. .

. .. in case of the lights going out! it's not cheap at $600 but it's an all in one solution and that's important in this 'case' (see what i did there) -- the ability to solar charge your equipment when you are out is a bonus, just throw this thing up on the road, lock it down with security cable and take a nap in the van!

The Phoenix is ideal for powering several on-the-go appliances during a weekend trip, or to keep for back-up power in case of an emergency. The Phoenix is an all-in-one portable solar power system specifically designed for mobile, off-grid applications, and is ideal for emergencies.

This compact, lightweight back-up system combines two highly efficient Renogy 10W Monocrystalline Solar Panels and is capable of expanding up to 120 watts. The Phoenix is ideal for powering several on-the-go appliances during a weekend trip, or even in an emergency situation.

i've already got something similar to this in the shape of a zipped bag with a solar cell that has three settings for the angle of the panel -- i like how they have intergrated the panels in this one to include that back tilted panel and the bottom straight down panel with the lcd display --- that helps a lot.
