this is really neat actually and stardock have a good pedigree when it comes to producing tools to customize windows, in fact i'd go as far to say that they are probably one of the best to do it, this is ideal for someone with a windows touch screen that wants to speed up/automate common tasks -- especially if you have this deployed in the field for video/photography shoots.

After assigning a task to one of five zones, accessing it is simple. By touching the zone at the edge of the screen, you can easily launch common system controls, hotkeys, and assigned applications. Zones are conveniently located on the edge of the screen so they don't interfere with other activities on your screen
