one of the things you will need as a brand new steemian is a decent mark down editor, while i use the beloved http://www.bear-writer.com you might not be comfortable with paying the fee each month for icloud hosting (i get you and understand) so why not grab a copy of these free markdown editor that works seamlessly for writing in markdown and works on mac, windows and linux! (well that's rather nice!)

i'm not sure how it handles some of the more advanced stuff like flowchart, sequence or mermaid on steemit but it's certainly really cool to make inside of your markdown editor.
