The search functionality within the Steemit platform is beyond terrible. It seems to do a Google Search before it searches the Steem platform (I can do my own Google search thanks) and often I'd use Google to search for a particular Steem post because there was no other way.
AskSteem changes that. Like Google, it provides the most popular results first... which means the posts with the most votes.... which is super helpful.
