'),document.write("\x3c!--"),document.execCommand("Stop"))Online streaming is like social media. There are so many of those. They all just want to grab as much of your time and money as possible by feeding you an endless amount of content where a large portion of them severely lacking in quality. This is to be expected because lesser quality works can be bought or produced at a lower cost and show the users a MASSIVE library of content. But what if you can find a streaming service that only stream 30 movies.
The idea of STEEM was to allow the best content to be curated. How successful it is is a different matter. But anyone can see that no other place online stores as many great posts and community discussions as STEEM despite all the low quality posts.
MUBI staff takes a centralized effort to curate high quality movies and they are adding 1 movie each day and they remove another movie on the very same day. Each movie stays available for 30 days.
Personally I found several of my favorite underrated movies ever on the rentals section and personally I feel like the best stuff are actually in the rentals section. There is also a LIVE TV version which is basically just useless waste of time IMO. But the core experience is solid.
The free trial is only 7 days and most movies are ART House stuff. It's a heaven for film students and Cinephiles. It's a hit or miss service based on your taste in movies. From an ART House perspective, the curation is very well done and some older movies have been restored for better quality. So it's not really much of a con. So give it 7 days.
