Synthesizers aren't exactly affordable equipment for everybody. But Swedish audio company Teenage Engineering is making a “poor man’s modular”. They have used some tricks to keep the prices low. For an example it comes in a pack where you have to assemble the device. But that actually can be a fun thing unless you are in a hurry. It also comes with a 70 page manual with lots of instructions on getting the best out of the product.

You can't even say that it doesn't look call because it's more affordable. To be honest this looks cooler than many of the expensive designs. This is the true face of innovations and making things better and cheaper with the power of free markets.
