This solar car developed by solar team of MIT engineers is an engineering marvel. It uses asymmetrical design to reduce the aerodynamicdrag to 2/3 as compared to other vehicles. Designed using Ansys to perform CFD calculations, vehicle is mostly hand built.

  • Top Speed = 70 mph (motor can go up to 90 mph)
  • Cruise speed: 60mph
  • Weight: 450 lbs (without driver)
  • Dimensions: 4.45 m x 1.72 m
  • Carbon fiber wheels

Flux is indeed a leap in building viable and economical solar cars.
