OrthoVR

VR technology to make comfortable and customized prosthesis

CHECK IT OUT

In OrthoVR, the prosthetist uses “sculpting”-style tools to shape the 3D curves that define the shape of the socket. The frame3Sharp framework supports simultaneous tool use, which means the prosthetist can “hold” the scan in one hand, and reposition it, while they are sculpting with the other. This is called “bimanual input” and is another fantastic capability of state-of-the-art VR systems.

OrthoVR is an ambitious project that utilises VR technology to aid prosthetist make customized prosthetics that are fit for individual needs and are comfortable.
