My Library app (android)

My library by Julien Keith is a free and ad-free app available on android devices. It allows you to create a digital database of the book collection that you have.

It is like a personal library on phone.

The app works by allowing user to scan the barcode on books and thus the ISBN number of the book. Then the app performs an online search in various databases for the ISBN number to collect the book details. The ISBN nunber or the complete details a book can also be entered manually. When it finds a book in the search repository, it fetches the details as well as a short summary of the book. Also an image of the book cover is downloaded (subject to availability) to suplement the book information. Sometimes an ISBN search fails (since the search is limited to some resources like Amazon, Google books, etc) and in that case the details can be entered manually.
It has a very simple and intuitive interface and works like a charm!

The pros of the app:

• Free and does not show ads.
• Export of database to excel.
• Export of database to cloud service, Dropbox and Google Drive at present.
• Import from previously exported library.

Cons

• I did not find any major cons but I would have loved to have a - multiple library feature so that I could creat libraries for my office along with my home collection as well.

I can do that by creating separate libraries and exporting them one at a time though.
