often times when a product tries to do everything it means it's often shit at 3 out of 4 of the other things -- as a monitor, at this size i expect the monitor to be 'ok' -- my only concern then is actual firmware software, if it's buggy then this thing is dead in the water from day zero -- the idea of a recorder, should be ok, and as long as the encoder is robust enough it could be ok.

i like the idea, but the end result in how well that's been executed and how much it costs (plus it needs to be reliable)
