GNOG

A Tactile 3D Puzzle Game

CHECK IT OUT

This is a puzzle game where you try and solve a kind of mini story set inside the monster’s head. To complete the puzzles, you have to press, twist and pull a variety of different objects.

There is mainly only two angles you will be required to view each puzzle from: the front and the back. The goal of each level is to get the button on the front of the face to become preferable. How you do this is very different from level to level and the game has no clear objectives on screwing for you to follow.

In one level, you'll be feeding baby birds and in another, flying through the galaxy after repairing your spaceship. When you press the final button, the monster face starts dancing to you and you are allowed to move on to the next level. you always have a choice between two levels to tackle so you can always switch between them if you're stuck on one.

The levels are certainly intriguing and are just begging to be fiddled with. Pushing and filling is fun but I did find it slightly frustrating on certain objects when I had to rotate them. It would officially seem simple to do but in practice was a bit hard to find the sweet spot.

The developer says they got influenced from children's toys for the level and it really does show with the colorful and bright puzzles.

The characters are adorable and the whole setting overall is very charming. Some of the effects are awesome and the Walpole in particular really makes you feel like you're being sucked into the next level.

The music is very relaxing, it really allows you to concentrate on the puzzles in front of you. The sound effects fit each object perfectly and I really do give the impression that you're tinkering with parts of a toy.
